Andrew Keeling's Diary

2008-10-27 - 7:40 a.m. Thursday evening: a journey to Carlisle to see the excellent The Week That Was perform. Carlisle's one-way system is confusing to drive around. I found a parking place on the fourth attempt. Appalling weather. Had a good discussion with Peter and David Brewis and their family. Much impressed with TWTW. This is the finest music I've heard for a very, very long time, equalled by Field Music and School of Language, the Brewis' other musical concerns. Friday: a quick and easy flight to Dublin collected from airport by P&E. Saturday: appalling weather. Shopping. Sunday: better weather and a return flight home. Sad to say goodbye to P&E. Further messages to and from C in NZ. Monday: today is a day in the studio working on further overdubs/rough mix (if there's time) of the acoustic album. Gradually it's getting there.
