Thursday: assembling a flute/guitar/mellotron part from the Balloons musical. The performance happens soon and much practising is required. Some teaching and flute practising done as well. Friday: to London's South Bank and the Royal Festival Hall where Joel G. and Dave D. included Maximon in their lunchtime concert. Around a hundred people were there. On the return journey managed to sit in a First Class carriage as the train was full. Read a book from cover to cover. Found a splinter in the fourth finger on arrival back at Preston. Tried to remove it but it's still there this morning and is quite painful. C. also wrote from NZ.
