Andrew Keeling's Diary
|
2008-11-03 - 7:50 a.m. Saturday: 09-20: a point of seeing so strong that it remained in my mind all day. Walked up Sheffield Pike (A. Wainwright: Pictorial Guides...Book 1) via Seldom Seen during the afternoon. Very cold. Ice on the paths. Amazing views over to Catsycam and Striding Edge. Returned via Greenside Mine. People often forget that this was once a hive of industrial activity. Now all that remains are ghosts. Returned to the car in pitch darkness. Sunday: exhausted after Saturday's five mile outing. Spent the morning completing cutting/glueing the part for Balloons. Complete by noon. Then to Lancaster, the canal, a walk over the fields to the old railway and back. Two and a half miles in all. Back to look over the Balloons part. In bed by 21-00 and asleep by 21-30.
