Friday: a day in the studio. Ken Nicol recorded the next batch of overdubs for the projected acoustic release. These are now satisfactorily complete. Next stage is final mixing day in January. Saturday: the backing tracks for Balloons arrived. Back to Arran at some point in early 2009 to record the guitar, flute and mellotron parts for a projected cd release of the musical. In the afternoon we went to Lancaster. Jacob Heringman sent a cd. Listened to Vaughan-Williams 5 with score. Sunday: Leighton Moss with K&L for a quick walk. The weather stayed fine long enough to take in two hides and watch the birds from there on the marshes. Thoughts about the KC writing. Positive feedback re the marimba and percussion piece. Monday: to my mother's for lunch. We were joined by David and Olive. Then some shopping in the afternoon. Listened to Vaughan-Williams 4 with the score.
