Last week went by in a blur of activity:

Tuesday: Associated Board accompanying;

Wednesday to Friday: flute practising and preparing an abstract for the Cross & Keeling Research event at London Met on April 23rd. It looks likely this will turn out in ways we hadn't anticipated at the start. But that's likely seeing as we're dealing with improvisation.

Saturday: a performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah, playing 1st flute in the orchestra, something I haven't done for a number of years. Afternoon rehearsal/evening performance went off without too many problems.

Sunday: from a sunny Lindale to an equally sunny Hampsfell and back. Returned to discover a waiting message from Cuarteto Tastiera and You Tube links of their performance in Colombia of Scry. Mark has put these up on the AK Classical MySpace page: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJbGi_qcb7g www.youtube.com/watch?v=lArDscrSoiE www.youtube.com/watch?v=p65Y5lTNsr0 Very encouraging and a knockout performance by the quartet.
