A weekend of work and rest, with some very sad news. Saturday: Mark sent more on the King Crimson work, plus new ideas for the horn and piano piece continued to arrive which proved hard work to get them down coherently onto MS. Stuart phoned saying that the premiere of the piece is likely to be in 2011. Then a walk round Milnthorpe in the sunshine with K&L. Sunday: awoke with a pain in my left-hand side which remained for most of the day. Managed to sketch a little more of the emerging piece. Realised after doing so, that I've actually managed, uninentionally, to quote Vaughan Williams's Fifth Symphony Movt 1. Should it stay or should it go? Is it purposeful? It might just be. Cut the lawns front and back. Walked around Churchtown. Wide skyscapes. Steve Fellows wrote with an interesting idea.
