Three and a half days spent in London with N & R.

Friday: first port of call was an event at the Apple shop in Regent Street with John Foxx performing/reading some of his new release from The Quiet Man. As ever, JF's music and conceptual work is excellent. I had a brief chat with him after the event.

Saturday: all over town with a visit to the John Sloane House in Lincoln Inn Fields. Later went to Oxford Street and managed to find a new inexpensive jacket as my others are gradually falling apart.

Sunday: a walk by the river from Hammersmith Bridge and the Blue Anchor (where Holst wrote his Hammersmith Suite) to Chiswick. Heard some interesting music in a record shop there.

Monday: a visit to see David Cross to sort out: a) what we're doing for the September Research presentation at London Met; b) to complete English Sun. The artwork is now complete. I also gave the master two further play-throughs before David takes it to manufacturer this week. The the journey home, listening and reading.

Constant thoughts throughout the time away on the horn and piano piece, the second movement to be precise.
