A busy week on the horn and piano piece. I reached the end of the fair-score copying of the second movement and, on Saturday evening, was unconvinced about the nature of the accompaniment. A new notion of the note-lengths for it had emerged. Back to the drawing board with this.

Writing the paper for the Cross and Keeling Research findings. On Thursday analysed and transcribed Piece No. 1. On Friday transcribed and analysed Piece No. 2. On Saturday transcribed and analysed Piece No. 5 plus wrote the structure, historical overview and summary of the audience discussion. All this was sent to David Cross for comment. More on this during the forthcoming week.

I'm told that English Sun is going for manufacture this week, due to a hold up in the proceedings at DC's usual duplication plant.

On Saturday afternoon extreme fatigue set in. A walk around Scorton brought me back to life.

Sunday: the fifth visit to Place Fell (2154' - A. Wainwright - Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells. Book 2) overlooking Patterdale, Glenridding and Ullswater. A sunny/cloudy day with a distinct chill in the air at the summit.
