This week has been busy in different ways. Elizabeth and Liam have been staying, so many visits to family. Liam has put on a significant amount of weight (15 1/2 lbs plus). We estimated he drunk over four gallons of milk during the week. Gradually, he's getting onto solid foods. Yesterday, sadly we waved mother and grandson goodbye at the airport and later heard they'd arrived home safely.

During the course of the week a new piece has been sketched for a commission from an American ensemble. This is quite different from previous pieces. Also involved in the project is a new Robert Fripp arrangement. My ear has fallen on two possibilities.

On Thursday, lunch with Stephen Fellows in Manchester. I always enjoy having lunch and conversation with Steve. The music of the Comsat Angels had, and continues to have a significant impact on me. Steve suggested I read John Gray's Straw Dogs. So, we walked down to Waterstones and bought a copy which has since been started.

Flute and guitar practising has begun again.

Discussions with an American classical record company about recording a new album. In the end, I felt it was impossible to consider their offer.

Mark Graham added a Lakeland Video Diary to AK website, and has been busy on more work on a new edition of the ITCOTCK book and the follow-up King Crimson books.
